(Farsi meaning “Appointed time of death”) The Land of Death is flanked by the forbidding Virani Dasht on one side, and the worst parts of the Godloin mountains on the other. It is a land that embraces the concepts of death, revering dead gods and serving a worldview known by natives as The Sevenfold Cycle, which sees death as a necessary step in life that should be embraced rather than feared. Many are the necromancers who venture to Ajal in order to find their own truths, and few return–some say due to them finding enlightenment in the Cycle.
