Hiva’a

Mythic Island safe-home (Polylesian myth) of Kanak, Tongan, and Easter Island peoples who fled New Caledonia and other nearby isles at various points; it also later gained Samoan influences, and its old tongue, Gagana, is largely due to that second wave of people.

Pulotu: (XXX) From Tongan myth, it is the paradise from where the gods came, though it is also associated with the underworld. It is a wild isle!
